No injuries reported, despite 50 mph winds

GALLUP — City fire officials worked Monday and Tuesday to assess damage sustained to the East Side Fire Station, which is under construction. Johnny Greene, assistant chief of operations at the fire department, said heavy winds knocked down a trailer belonging to a plumbing contractor and destroyed the part of the sparsely constructed station area that would’ve housed living quarters, a hallway and bathrooms.
